Birmingham Art Museum

The Birmingham Art Museum had a really interesting exhibit that counterposed the work of Andy Warhol and William Morris.  The exhibit provoked interesting discussion about the nature of Art.

Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

To my delight, there is a town called Leighton Buzzard that was a stop on the train trip to Cambridge.

Riding on the train, I was treated toq verfication of a topological claim made in Roger Penrose's Road to Reality.  This illustrates the nature of spinors.

At the Tate Modern

I discovered a new group of artists (from the 70's if I remember correctly) at the Tate Modern: the Arte Povera Group.  I really liked their stuff.

Buckingham Palace

Despite my principled opposition to the monarchy, we did visit Buckingham Palace.  I hope that once the monarchy is abolished they still keep the silly hats.
